The show was created by Adam Reed, director/producer for other awesome shows like Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo, one day while sitting at a cafe in Spain. He wanted to create the perfect spy who always has the right thing to say.

What if you were stranded in the middle of the desert with nothing except for a knife?

This is the type of thing Bear Grylls, a survivalist and ex UK special forces selection, puts himself through every single episodes. The shows purpose is to instruct and demonstrate to the common person what type of tactics should be employed if one found themselves in a different environment and naked. Most of the time Bear only starts with a knife or a canteen and he will show you how to survive and find civilization again. Even if you may never find yourself in this type of situation, it is still very interesting to watch and learn. Sure people may accuse that this show of being fake, and maybe it is; but that doesn’t mean Bear doesn’t teach you something. This is definitely the best survival show in my opinion, Bear is a lot of fun to watch on screen, and he doesn’t moan about carrying camera equipment like his competitor, Les Stroud of ‘Survivorman.’

Flight of the Conchords

Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are in a band from New Zealand trying to adjust to the american lifestyle, and trying to hit the big time as a novelty folk band. The band releases songs that appear on the albums, in real life, and also in the story line of each episode. For example, songs like “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the room),” “I’m not crying,” and “The Humans are Dead” follow the story line to the first episode entitled “Sally.” Jemaine falls for a girl (Sally) at a party, and the band records a music video with help from the band manager, Murray Hewitt (Rhys Darby). Other well known actor appearances on Flight of the Conchords include Eugene Mirman, Rachel Blanchard as Sally, Arj Barker as Dave, and Kristen Schaal as the obsessed follower of the band, Mel.
